There is a severe design flaw with that item. The ball is directly under the bike rack receiver. Your average platform or hanging bike rack is 36 inches long from hitch. Most boat and jet ski trailers give you 40 inches from boat to hitch. This seems like enough clearance until you make a turn. Remember that when you turn, your car turns while the trailer doesn't at first. You loose about 12-18 inches of car clearance while turning. This means your bike rack hits your boat.I love all these user photos where the show the bikes and trailers while parked in the driveway or street where there is very little clearance between the bikes and their boat. Wait till they turn!!!They needed to have the ball about 10 inches from the bike receiver. I tried this with 5 different boat trailers and two different platform racks (Thule and Kuat). All cases looked good until you try to make a turn then crash.Be warned!!!!

Works great. Used it to carry my bikes and kayak trailer for a camping trip.

I could not fit my rack for my bikes on because I could not hiccup by hitch because they would not fit through it

Used this on my Ford Excursion. Had to tow a Uhaul car hauler with my other car and needed this hitch in order to use my bike rack as well. I had to take off my bike rack when I went to put the trailer on the ball and then I had issues putting the bike rack back on because the hole for the bike rack was to low to the ball with the trailer on it. Wish they would have put it a little higher so that there was more space between the bike rack and ball for the trailer. Otherwise it works well and that was my only issue with it.

This trailer hitch draw bar is just what I needed. It is rated at 7000 lbs. towing capacity and allows me to tow my boat trailer and mount my bicycle rack at the same time. An added plus is I can still open the tailgate of my truck with the Curt draw bar still in place. So, I can still access gear in my truck bed with the Curt draw bar in place.

I thought this would be great for a road trip with our camper and ebike but the top hitch sagged and then bent within a day. I was surprised it didn't break but we won't be using this when we return from our road trip. We already won't use the top hitch again.

This is a heavy duty, we'll made product. However, take your measurements on the trailer and the extra accessory, including bikes. I had a 4 bike rack that fits but I have limited turning radius. In my case the bike rack is slightly too big. The boat trailer tongue is slightly longer than normal.

Clever and robust product negates "trailer vs bicycles" trade-off, allows you to tow both. Trumped other options (difficult to access roof racks, flimsy strap-based tailgate clingers etc.). Proved its durability on rough gravel roads on long trips in remote Canadian parks. Others note engineering challenges for some applications (e.g. wide trailers, raised latches on coupler (the part that receives the ball), propane tanks competing for draw-bar space, etc may impact required clearance), so reviewed info-sheet before purchase. In our case, perhaps enabled by modest-width trailer, standard drawbar length/set-up, low-profile coupler latch, this device did the job v. well--minimal sway, accommodated tight turns, even allowed trailer hook-up post bike-rack install (see pic). Hitch is heavy duty, included pin, and delivered in one week. Fills niche seemingly ignored by others.

Needed to cart a bicycle rack and pop up trailer at same time without sacrificing tongue weight capacity like an extender would.
