Condition Critical is still as good now as it was back then
A blast from the past, to replace my vinyl from last century. Condition Critical is still as good now as it was back then. Excellent Slade covers too!

less Quiet more Riot.
Fantastic heavy metal almost epitomises the very best example of what long haired axe attackers can put out there ,of course DuBrow vocalises the quintisential metal scream and tops off a thoroughly bullet proof body of work which is superbly cast in its metallic magnifisence from the first power chord to its last.Maximus Metalicus (if this dont get u headbanging u aint got a head !!)

Quiet Riot - Condition Critical
Even though it mostly remains in the shadow of it's more successful and recognized predecessor Metal Health released in 1983 just a year before. Quiet Riot had something to prove with Condition Critical. Quiet Riot unexpectedly landed themselves metals first number one album in the US alongside two high charting and heavily rotated singles. Essentially paving the way for 80's Hard Rock and Metal as thanks to there success it started a record label Hard Rock/Metal band signing frenzy. The album flow is a lot stronger on this release and it seems that the material is superior to Metal Health in terms of quality and consistent's. In saying that they did take the main factor of there success and apply it here. Trying to replicate the success of Cum on Feel the Noize with another Slade cover with Mama Weer All Crazee Now. I suggest despite the single charting decently it didn't help them shake of the branding of a successful cover band. Which of course in some ways is ridiculous considering the other high quality songs like Red Alert, Sign of the Times and Party All Night. But unfortunately it would come back to haunt them.In saying that I find despite everything else in the Quiet Riot discography this to me is them at the peak. This would be there last studio album certification in the US. Going Platinum US and Canada. With there career slump just around the corner this reminds you of what Quiet Riot were capable of achieving artistically and commercially.
